I am very satisfied with my tune from Solomon, the drivability and running of the car is much better. I am getting a slight increase in MPG, the throttle response is much quicker, and there is also a seat of the pants difference now.
Solomon tuned my PCM to utilize the bolt-ons I have to really put the power to the tires. He also changed the fan temps and other simple changes I requested. Now, considering I'm a newb at tuning, I changed my mind probably 5-7 times and Solomon STILL got everything I requested spot on...
I am very pleased with his service, especially for the cost and I will be back for more in the future when I have more mods like a cam & etc.

Man the car runs great, I can notice the MPG increase especially since it was pig rich with the long tubes. Gas mileage appears to be much better on the highway as well.
Still breaking in the new clutch so haven't gone all out but I can tell she'll pull like a freight train.
Sounds great and the idle feels better. You rock.

I received the PCM yesterday and installed it.
In the short time I've had to drive the car I've noticed a big difference in city driving.
It runs so much better now.
I'm taking it to the track Friday to see how it is at WOT. I'm very happy with your work and thank you very much.
1997 Firebird LT1
I have a 1997 Firebird Formula that has been modified when I received it with no knowledge of what modifications had been done to the car. I knew it wasn't running to its fullest potential.
I found Solomon's site in search of experience with the LT1 PCMs. Solomon has lived up to his words 100% and
has turned this car into something I would never have imagined.

First off, Solomon is a great guy to work with. He offers great insight and was quick to answer any inquires I had. The turn around time was very fast for the mail in method and my car was down for less than a week.
After the tune the car feels much more aggressive, especially in the low to mid range, and pulls freely to red-line.
Driveability is fantastic and other than the added power the car drives as nicely as it did before. This was done on a very mildly modded 97 LT1 with only a cold air kit and cat back.
I will continue to use Solomon's services for any retuning I need as I continue to modify the car, it is well worth the money.

I'm absolutely delighted. The car is definitely pulling a lot better.
I'm liking the DFCO, it doesn't have any popping and banging on deceleration, there is no smoke on acceleration and the car is obviously running much leaner now as it was very smelly/running rich beforehand.
I will probably get the software to data log the car and hopefully get you to fine tune on that data.

I want to thank you for the work you did on my postal power tune. My 97 Z/28 has never responded as well as it does now. From the first start up I was impressed with the tune.
My car no longer runs rich. No more embarrassing black smoke thru the tailpipes. Before I could barely feel it shift 2nd. Now I feel it shift 2nd & 3rd!!!

Your quick, and professional responses made it easy to accomplish my tuning goals, even though it was my first time programming a PCM. I certainly know more now and I am anxious to continue to modify my car.

I wanted to provide you with additional feedback since performing a power tune on my PCM. I am still pleased with the performance of your tuning and performance since corrresponding with you nearly two months. I am pleased to report I have yet to experience performance-related hiccups or check engine lights. The tune has been rock solid thus far.
I have logged well over 1500 miles and managed to squeeze in a 250 mile trip. Again, I'm pleased to report that with my top end upgrade, and your power tune, my estimated mileage is 16 MPG combined and 24 highway. The numbers were taken on divided country roads with too many stoplights, but, a 55MPH speedlimit. On the interstate I could get an extra two MPG.
The base estimate for my car off the assembly line at 285 HP was 18-26 MPG.
So that's not bad at all. A two MPG drop for a significant power upgrade, not to mention tuning from 24lb to 30lb injectors! My stops to the filler up basically has not increased.
Drivability issues are non-existent, I can cruise in 6th gear 1000 rpm at 45MPH level or on a slight inclined with no bucking or stalling...anything less than that, the tranny doesnt like, or roll start in first.
Your magic works! Even on a car that now has 230,000 miles on the bottom.

Hello Solomon,
Finally, after a long top end replacement and subsequent tweaking, dialing and tightening of bolts and components, I'm delighted to report that your tune was right on the money from the first turn of the key!
No check engine lights, no rough idle, in fact, I was able to start and complete my cam break-in session (30 minutes 2000-2500 RPM) on that very key stroke.
My engine really felt and sound as if it were truly rejuvenated. The power and pedal response from idle to highway speeds was even more gratifying. Power of which I knew the engine was capable, but having actually been subjected to it is indeed an awakening experience.
Overall gas mileage I'm not certain what it may be at this point because I enjoy so much keeping it between first and fourth gear! If I had to guess the HP rating of the engine at this point (solely based on comparing similar vehicle characteristic) it's between 360-380 HP.
The temps idling in traffic during these 95 plus degree weather on average is about 190 degrees, and about 175 degrees highway. Not once has it center line normally at or above 210 degrees on the gage. Again I feel confident that I can sit in Washington DC Beltway traffic with less to worry about.
I have to remind myself that she has over 228,000 miles on the bottom. Since August 1996 she has been pampered. Bottom line, I could not be more happier with this setup. You delivered EXACTLY what I was expecting and offered sound technical advice. You couldn't have made it any simpler.
This was my first engine rebuild and I owe part of that success to your company. Thank You for your product and being the professional you are. Now this retired naval veteran, 29 years of service is going to have some fun!
