USDC on Solana is an option for every order — $1 less than PayPal or cash, cashier’s check, or money order. I’ll take $50 off the first 3 orders paid with Solana Pay (USDC) (0 of 3 have paid).

Paying with Solana Pay

You do not need to be a crypto trader to use this; but you do need a crypto wallet. On this site, Solana Pay is just another way to send me the same dollars — as USDC, a token meant to stay at $1 — from a Solana wallet (instead of cash/check/credit card/PayPal). You still approve the exact amount; it settles in seconds with a public receipt. PayPal and mailed payment are still an option regardless!

Why crypto is useful here

  • No card processor in the middle. I take $1 off the tune (not cable cores) when you pay USDC.
  • I cover the small Solana network fee (fraction of a penny) on USDC payments, so you are not buying extra SOL just to pay me.
  • It clears when the chain confirms, in seconds — no PayPal eCheck hold before I start work.
  • You get a link to the on-chain receipt.

Easiest and cheapest way to try it

  1. Get a Solana wallet. Jupiter, Solflare, Phantom, phone app or browser version is fine. Free to install, great for anything Solana related.
  2. Get/have USDC on Solana in that wallet. Cheapest path for most people right now: a free Coinbase account — buy USDC (their USDC purchases are still currently fee-free), then send it on the Solana network to your Phantom or Solflare address. Coinbase can also pay some Solana Pay requests from its own wallet. Buying USDC inside Phantom/Solflare is usually more expensive.
  3. Pay on this site. Choose Solana Pay at checkout (or on your order status page), open the wallet, scan the QR or tap Pay, and approve the amount.

Send USDC on Solana only. USDC on Ethereum or another chain is a different network — I will not see it, and you will pay more in fees. I receive payment in USDC, not SOL.

After you pay

When the payment confirms on Solana you get a payment-received email with the explorer receipt. I work from that the same as a PayPal capture. On-chain payments are not a card chargeback; if a refund is due (cable core, etc.) I send USDC back to the wallet that paid.
