A Fellow LT1 Owner
I, like you, am a car enthusiast who has found the value and fun-factor in the LT1 engine. I enjoy it in a GM F-Body: my six-speed '95 Camaro Z28.
Since the year 2000 or so, I've learned how the car responds to different tuning methods. And after installing a larger, aftermarket camshaft in 2007, have really learned what makes LT1s go.
Much of what I offer on the site, including the tuning service, is very simple: as easy as clicking a toggle switch in software. But some of it requires a repeated process, which can only practically be done in your own car with your own tuning setup.
I've been offering this service as a fellow LT1 owner for many years, with good success and feedback. Over the years, with just an informal, personal webpage offering the service, I had tuned over 30 PCMs for LT1 owners just like you; some with F-Bodies and some transplanting the engine/PCM into other vehicles.
But now, I've started this website dedicated to offering what I've learned free, as well as my inexpensive tuning service, with 5664 orders placed since it went online in late 2007. I have tuned everything from stock 4.3L L99s to bolt-on LT1s & LS1s, to forced induction LT1s, to 396ci LT1s with very large cams and high compression. And I am still an LT1 owner, just like you!
Several people have asked why my prices are so low compared to other tuners. My answer is two-fold:
- Even though this is my main source of income right now (I also serve as an assistant minister in my church for a small salary), I don't need a lot of money to support myself and be happy (God is good and has greatly blessed me!);
- I want to help those who might otherwise not have enough money for a tune. Tuners that charge $300 or more for a simple retune (which is usually 99% stock anyway) make it hard for the average car and performance enthusiast to have a chance. I know that for many of us, we are already squeezing out the money necessary to support our hobby of modding vehicles, and I want to do what I can to help you achieve the finishing touch on your project without going over budget.
I hope that I can be a help to you, either with the tips I offer free or with my inexpensive tuning service. Use the contact form to get in touch with me!
